How to Reset the Administrator Password for an HP OmniBook XE3

The OmniBook XE3 is a fairly outdated Hewlett-Packard laptop meant mostly for business people. It has a 14-inch screen and weighs 7.7 pounds. With the OmniBook XE3, as with any computer, it is a good idea to set a password for entry to the computer's administrator account. This will keep other people from accessing the computer.

  Log into your computer's administrator account.

  Open the "Start" menu.

  Click on "Control Panel."

  Click on your administrator account.

  Select "Change My Password."

  Type your current password and your new password into the applicable fields.

  Type in a password hint that will remind you of your password if you forget. Bear in mind that if you forget your administrator password, you will be in for a lot of work in getting back into your account.
