How to Reset a Novell Network Password

Maintaining and administrating a network carries its fair share of headaches. From monitoring servers to organizing files and processes, network administrators are busy enough serving the needs of network users. Of those headaches, security is easily the biggest. Preventing unlicensed use of networks and user misconduct can be a challenge. But creating strong passwords and changing them frequently makes this monumental task a little bit easier. The same applies for home networks. Whether you're an administrator with an eye for safety or just a security hound looking to make your home network a little more secure, you can change your Novell network password in a few quick steps.

      Access your NetWare Novell Directory Services tree.

      Press the "Ctrl", "Alt" and "Delete" keys at the same time. In the window that appears, click "Change Password."

      Click "NetWare or Compatible Network" under the "Log on to" option on the screen that appears.

      Type your current password in the box labeled "Old Password." Type a new password in the "New Password" box. Confirm the new password by typing it again in the "Confirm Password" box.
