How to Reset an Oil Light for a Nissan Titan

Nissan Titan models equipped with the navigation system also have an engine oil management system. This system is part of the navigation system; it does not come with non-navigation Nissan Titans. You'll use the navigation control panel and joystick located beneath the screen to reset the Titan's oil light. Do not perform the reset this until you've had the truck's oil changed.

  Start your Titan's engine. Press the "Enter" button beneath the navigation system to bypass the warning screen.

  Press the "Trip" button on the control panel. You'll see a screen that shows "Engine Oil," "Tire Rotation" and "Tire Pressure."

  Turn the joystick to select "Engine Oil." Press "Enter."

  Turn the joystick to select "Reset." Press the "Enter" button. This resets the system and turns off the oil light until your next scheduled oil change.
