How to Restore a Backup Point

Any time an event -- such as an update or a new software download -- occurs on your computer, Microsoft Windows automatically creates a restore point to which you can back up your computer if you need to. You can use the Microsoft "System Restore" tool to choose a backup point and then restore your computer's settings to that point.
