How to Restore a Disc for My eMachines W3118

Successfully using the restore disc for your eMachines W3118 can be the difference between resuming work quickly and being unable to use your system for a prolonged period of time.       Insert the eMachines restore disc into your W3118 computer. To do this, press the "Open/Close" button on your disc tray, place the disc face-up into the tray and press the "Open/Close" button again to close the drive.

      Restart your computer. The system restore process cannot be used while Windows is running, so it is necessary to restart the system. Select the "Start" button on your Windows taskbar, select "Shut Down" and then "Restart." The computer will then restart automatically.

      Boot your W3118 from the restore disc. When the eMachines logo appears after restarting, press the "F12" button to open the boot menu. Select the "Boot from CD or DVD" option. When the phrase "Press any key to boot from CD" appears, press a button to start the disc.
