How to Send a Fax With Vonage

Vonage is a VoIP provider. VoIP stands for Voice over IP, which is a way to make phone calls over the Internet instead of over regular phone lines. With regular phone lines, you could connect a fax machine to any line and send the fax. With Vonage, however, you need to enable the fax service first in order to prevent being charged a high amount for each fax you send.

  Open a web browser and go to the Vonage Log-in Page.

  Enter your username or phone number, then enter your password and click "Sign In."

  Click on "Billing," then click on "Add a Fax Line."

  Select the model Vonage adapter you are using from the choices offered, then enter the State and area code, as well as the location of the fax line. Click "Accept."

  Connect a phone line with USB cable from "Line 2" on the Vonage adapter to the fax machine.

  Insert the original document you want to fax into the document feeder.

  Dial the fax number you want to fax to and press "Start."
