How to Send Pop-Up Messages to Other PCs

Microsoft included a feature in Windows 2000 and Windows XP that allows you to send messages to other computers. The messages open on the destination computer as a dialog box. This administrative tool can help users communicate between two rooms on a home network without any third-party messaging applications. This feature was removed in later versions of Windows because of vulnerabilities exploited by hackers. You can only use this feature in Windows 2000 and XP.
