How to Send an SMS From a Webpage
SMS, or "Short Message Service," are typed messages that can be sent and received from mobile devices. It's often referred to as "texting." If you're away from your cell phone or trying to save on your wireless bill, you can use the Internet to send a short message to a mobile phone. There are a number of Web pages that provide this service free of charge. You'll need to know the recipient's cell phone number and area code, and most sites also require that the recipient's provider be entered.
