How to Send a Song to a Land Line As a Message

One day, you may decide to surprise your friend by sending a song to his or her land line, yet you're not sure how to go about doing this, given the present dominance of cellular phones. Send your message using technology that, like the land-line phones, has been around awhile.

  Set up a music source that will play your song through the speakers. This can be from any source: your computer, CD player, stereo or even record player.

  Call your friend. You can use any phone service, whether it's your own land line, cell phone or computer voice service, such as Google Talk or Skype.

  Put the microphone of your phone or cell phone to the speaker playing the music you wish to send. Be sure not to place it too close, as the sound may become distorted or too loud. If you are using a computer phone, use your external microphone.
