How to Set the Date on a Rolex GMT Master II

The Rolex GMT Master II watch has been manufactured since the 1950s. The watch features four moving hands -- a second hand, minute hand, hour hand and 24-hour hand -- as well as a date insert. To change the time or date, you must pull the crown out to the appropriate notch. Once you extend the crown, you can change this information.

Pull the crown out to the first notch. The crown is the knob, located on the right-hand side of the Rolex GMT Master II, responsible for changing the time and date. You can push the crown in or pull it out one or two notches.

Turn the crown in a clockwise motion. As you turn the crown, the hour hand will move. As the hour hand moves around the clock, the date will change every time the hour hand hits midnight. Stop rotating the crown when the correct date and hour are displayed on the watch.
