How to Set Up Siemens Speed Stream 4200 on Vista

The Siemens Speed Stream 4200 router transmits your DSL Internet service from your phone line to your computer. Once you have set up the device you can connect your computer to begin surfing the Internet. Routers connect directly to your DSL phone line and convert the signal so it is compatible with your computer's hardware. Windows Vista can quickly connect to your router once the set up is complete.

  Plug one end of the phone line into the phone jack on a wall outlet. Connect the other end to the "DSL Port" on the router.

  Connect one side of the Ethernet cable to an "Ethernet Port" on the router. Plug the other side into an Ethernet port on your computer.

  Turn on your computer and connect the Speed Stream to the power supply. Once the connection is made, the "DSL" and "Power" lights will illuminate.
