How to Set Up a Wireless Security Camera

A wireless security camera, also called an IP (Internet Protocol) based camera, allows you to monitor an area of your home or business from your computer. The camera system communicates directly with your computer or laptop to deliver the picture shown on camera. You can watch a picture from a baby's room while relaxing in your bedroom or living room. It's a convenient and simple security option that you can set up in a few simple steps.

Install your wireless camera in a strategic location on the property and switch it on. For instance, you can place a camera facing your door, outside in front of the property or in a specific room, depending on your preference. You can mount the camera on a wall if it comes with a mounting kit or just place it on a table. Make sure the camera contains new batteries (preferably lithium batteries, which usually have a longer life compared to standard batteries).
