How to subscribe to Eurosport

Eurosport is a digital TV channel that broadcasts live games, competitions, sports news and discussion. The channel shows several sports not usually carried by other main channels, such as motorcycle racing, skiing and car rallies. However, Eurosport is unavailable through standard UK digital Freeview TV. You also can't subscribe to Eurosport via your Freeview box. Instead you'll need to subscribe to one of two digital TV services. Alternatively, Eurosport is available as an online subscription.

  Sign up for the Virgin Media TV M+ digital package. This is the cheapest Virgin package that includes the Eurosport channel. Visit the Virgin Media website.

  Enter your postcode into the postcode checker on the left side of the screen, then click "Go". This will test which services you can receive in your area. If services are available in your street, click "Add to Basket" for the M+ package. The package is £5.50 a month in June 2010. However, you will also need to sign up for a Virgin land-line at £11.99 a month. Enter your payment and address details as requested.

  Purchase a subscription to Sky if you're unable to receive Virgin Media services or if you'd prefer a different selection of channels. Visit Sky.com and select "Join Sky" from the menu. Choose the Sky+ Starter package for the cheapest deal.

  Select "News and Events" from the entertainment pack list. This option includes Eurosport channels. Enter your details as required.

  Subscribe to Eurosport online via the Eurosport Player website. This allows you to view Eurosport via the Internet on your computer. Monthly prices in 2010 start at £3.99, and annual subscriptions at £34.99.

  Click on the button for your preferred subscription. Fill out the boxes with all the required information and click "Submit". Make sure you perform the technical test at the top of the page to ensure that your computer and Internet connection are able to show the channel successfully.
