How to Take the Front Off a Maytag PYE2300AY Electric Dryer

The Maytag PYE2300AY Electric Dryer is a very common style of appliance with screws on the bottom front panel, making it fairly simple to open the dryer. The cabinet design is very similar to other Maytag dryer models, allowing you to access the interior of the appliance in just a few minutes. Taking the front panel off the dryer gives you access to the screws that secure the dryer top and to the interior of the dryer.

  Unplug the power cord of the Maytag PYE2300AY Electric Dryer from the power source before attempting to take the front off the appliance.

  Locate the two screws on the bottom lip of the front panel and unfasten them with a screwdriver.

  Lift the front panel up from the bottom and unhook it from the metal clips at the top of the dryer cabinet.

  Disconnect the two-pronged electrical wiring connector from the back of the front panel by hand.

  Take the panel of the Maytag PYE2300AY electric dryer off the cabinet and set it out of the way.
