Download Memtest86 (see Resources).

Insert a blank DVD into your computer drive and open the folder where Memtest86 downloaded.

Drag the Memtest86 file onto the DVD and click "Write to disc" in the left-hand pane.

Open the disc tray. Close it again to trigger Autorun and wait for the program to test your memory (see Tips and Warnings).

How to Test for Memory Leakage
When your computer slowly--but surely--loses its amount of available memory, this is known as a memory leak. This condition occurs when your computer cannot permit used memory to return to the pool to be reused, which eventually completely depletes all memory the computer can use while running. It can be difficult to detect a leak, especially when it occurs at a very slow rate. You must use a unique program called Memtest86 to detect memory leaks, .
