How to Track Your Immigration Application

After you file Form I-485, Application to Register Permanent Residence or Adjust Status, the U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services (USCIS) will mail you letters with further instructions and case status updates. Using the application receipt number contained in such letters, you can also track your case status in real time and be informed of any changes immediately. The same options are also available to track related forms and applications such as an immigrant petition for a relative and the interim travel and work permits.
