How to Transfer Pictures From One Nuvi to Another

Garmin Nuvi GPS devices are designed to be very computer friendly. When plugged into a compatible computer (Windows 2000 and up, Mac OS 10.4 and up) the device will act as a USB drive, making it possible for you to use it for file storage. Another computer-friendly feature of the Garmin GPS is the picture-viewing function, which enables you to view JPG and JPEG picture files on the device's screen. If you have picture files on one Garmin Nuvi GPS and want to transfer them to another Nuvi, this can be done with the use of a compatible computer.

Disconnect the currently connected Nuvi from your computer, and then connect your second Nuvi to your computer via the same cable. Open the Nuvi folder as you did in Step 2, then transfer your pictures by clicking and dragging them to your Nuvi.
