How to Transfer an SSL Certificate in Windows IIS5

The Windows server operating system lets information technology (IT) workers quickly and securely set up hosted websites. The software used for this purpose is called Internet Information Services (IIS). Once an IIS site is created, its pages and configuration settings are stored within the Windows server computer. In order to secure these files and settings, a certificate called a Secure Sockets Layer (SSL) is installed. Often, SSL certificates need to be transferred to new servers when the old servers become redundant or need an upgrade.
