How to Uninstall Office Live Toolbar

Microsoft has brought its Office suite to the Web, known as Microsoft Office Live. An installable toolbar, known as Microsoft Office Live Add-in, bridges the gap between the desktop applications and their online counterparts, allowing you to easily save files to the "cloud" from within the Office suite. If you have no intention of using the online service, the toolbar may seem like a bother. You can easily uninstall it.

  Quit all Microsoft Office applications, if any are running.

  Open the Windows "Start" menu, select "Control Panel." Select "Programs" > "Programs and Features."

  Locate "Microsoft Office Live Add-in" within the list of installed application. Select it and click "Uninstall."

  Click "Yes" to confirm the action, and follow the remaining on-screen instructions.

  Repeat Steps 3 and 4, selecting instead "Microsoft Office Live Add-in Patches." Once complete, the Office Live toolbar is removed from your system.
