How to Uninstall Parental Controls

Most televisions now come with a parental control option. This allows you to block out stations you don't want children to access. The parental control may either block out specific stations or programs that have a specific viewer rating (such as TV-14 or M). If, however, you no longer need the parental controls installed on the television, it is possible to remove the settings from the TV.

  Power on the television and press the "Menu" button on the TV's remote control.

  Select "Setup," then choose "Parental Control."

  Type in the four-digit passcode you have on the television (this is the code required to view the blocked content).

  Choose to remove the current parental controls from the television, then select "OK." The parental control locks are now terminated form the TV.
