How to Upgrade an Acer 7520-5311 64-Bit

The Acer 7520 laptop is a Windows-based computer that runs at 64 bits. If you are experiencing slow functionality on your computer, you should upgrade the Random Access Memory (RAM). This will give your computer the extra boost it needs to run multiple programs and will decrease download times. You don't have to be a computer whiz to perform this task. You can easily upgrade the RAM on your 7520 with little hassle.

      Shut the computer down, and then unplug the battery and the power cord from the laptop.

      Press the power button to disperse any electrical charge that might remain in the computer.

      Flip the computer over, and locate the RAM hatch next to the battery port on the bottom.

      Use a Phillips-head screwdriver to remove the two screws holding the RAM hatch onto the casing.

      Lift the two latches on the side of the RAM slot, and then pull the old RAM chip out of the slot. Slide your new RAM chip into the memory slot. Replace the RAM cover, and then replace the RAM hatch.

      Reconnect the power cord, and turn the computer on.
