How to Use Pocket PC As a Phone

The Pocket PC is a handheld device that runs on Windows Mobile operating system. The operating system has a number of capabilities that a regular Windows-based computer has, along with major features that a cell phone has to offer. All in all, it combines features of a PC and cell phone. To learn basic navigation on this device, you will have to become familiar with the process of making calls and using other features that the device offers as a phone.

  Make a call. Press the keys on the dial pad to enter a number. Then press the green button with the receiver icon on it. Wait for the call to be connected. To end the call, press "End."

  Redial the last dialed number by pressing the button with the green receiver twice.

  Answer a call by pressing the green receiver button when the phone rings to notify you of the incoming call. To ignore the call, tap "Ignore" or press "End."

  Put the call on hold to dial another number or answer another incoming call. When you're in the middle of the call, tap "Hold." To switch between the calls, tap "Swap."

  Make a call from your contacts list. Access the phone book, select a contact name and press the "Call" button.

  Use voicemail on the phone by pressing and holding the "1" key. This will automatically connect your call to voicemail.

  Turn on speakerphone during the call by tapping the "Speaker On" button.

  Make a conference call. First, using the keyboard, dial the first number and press the button with the receiver icon on it. When the call connects, tap "Hold" and dial the second number. Then tap "Talk" again. When the call connects, go to "Menu," "Conference."
