Install Remote App

Tap the "App Store" icon on your iPhone home screen.

Select "Search," enter "Remote" and then tap "Search."

Tap the "Remote" app developed by Apple.

Tap "Free" and then "Install." You will need to enter your iTunes password to continue with installation.
Use Remote App With iTunes

Launch iTunes on your Mac.

Select "Advanced" and then "Turn on Home Sharing."

Launch the Remote app on your iPhone by tapping the "Remote" icon on your iPhone home screen. Be sure that your iPhone is connected to the same wireless network that your Mac uses to connect to the Internet.

Tap "Settings."

Slide "Home Sharing" to on and enter the iTunes user name and password that you have configured with your iTunes account on your Mac. The iTunes library on your computer will now be displayed on your iPhone, allowing you to play music and control the playback options from your iPhone.
Use Remote App with Apple TV

Select the Apple menu on your Apple TV device and then choose "Settings."

Select "General," "Remotes" and then "Remote App."

Enter your iTunes user name and password and then click "Create Home Share."

Launch the Remote app on your iPhone by tapping the "Remote" icon on your iPhone home screen. Be sure that your iPhone is connected to the same wireless network that your Mac uses to connect to the Internet.

Select your Apple TV device from the list of available devices to connect your iPhone to your Apple TV. Your Apple TV library will be displayed on your iPhone, and you can control playback of video and audio files from the device.
