How to Wire a Battery Cut Off Switch
Whether it's to preserve a battery for long-term parking or to help deter car thieves, a battery cut-off switch is a convenient feature for any vehicle. By interrupting the flow of current from the battery to the vehicle, a cut-off switch will help prevent loss of cranking amps while the car, boat or RV is parked. It also makes it difficult for anyone but the owner to start the vehicle. With some basic tools and a little preparation, you can install a cut-off switch.
