How to Word an Invitation for a 30th Birthday

Age 30 signifies a new milestone in your life. You can celebrate it quietly with close friends and family or with a large group. Although parts of the invitation are generic, you can still incorporate your own personality, theme and ideas. With a few changes, the wording can also be customized for a surprise party. To save extra time, email the completed invitations to invited guests.

Personalize the invitation with a simple poem that mentions the honoree's name and 30th birthday, such as:

"Jane's turning thirty; come join the fun.

We'll make new memories and share old ones."

Add a heading that reiterates the occasion, such as:

"Please Join Us to Celebrate a 30th Birthday Party" or "You Are Invited to a 30th Birthday Party." If it's a surprise party, add the word surprise to the heading.

Include the honoree's name next, so guests will know who the party is for, as follows:

      for Jane Doe

    • 4

Add the date, time and location of the party.

    • 5

Include a name and contact information for RSVP purposes, as follows:

      "RSVP to Sarah Doe."

    • 6

Remind guests that the party is a surprise (if applicable) at the end of the card, just in case someone didn't see it in the beginning. For example:

      "Remember, It's a Surprise"
