The laptop features the ability to play discs and music without booting the operating system in order to save on battery power.

    Processor

    • The DV4000 uses an Intel Pentium M 715 microprocessor with a 400 megahertz bus speed. This single-core processor has a speed of 1.5 gigahertz and uses a 2 MB L2 cache, which makes a local copy of small amounts of data to speed up processing.

    Memory

    • The DV4000 has two memory slots and comes with 512 megabytes of DDR SDRAM as standard, although up to 1 GB can be supported.

    Graphics

    • The DV4000 uses integrated video processing provided by an Intel GMA 900 graphics chip included in the Intel i915 chipset located on the motherboard. This uses 128 MB of video memory.

    Storage

    • The DV4000 has 60 GB of storage space on a single hard drive. This is not capable of storing a large amount of high-volume media like videos. However, the small drive keeps the weight of this device low.

    • The DV4000 measures 14.1 inches wide, 10.1 inches deep and 1.3 inches high. It weighs 7.5 pounds.

    Display
