Installation of the G600

The SGH-G600 is a model of cellphone manufactured by Samsung. If you are just unpacking your G600 for the first time you will need to know how to assemble the phone before you can start calling and texting. Installing the Subscriber Identity Module (SIM) card and battery and starting up the phone is quite straightforward and should only take a few minutes.

      Turn the phone over so the back is facing upward.

      Carefully unclip the SIM card from its larger, credit-card sized holder. Place it with its gold contact side down inside the open area at the back of the phone, with the cut-away corner pointing toward the bottom of the phone. Slide the SIM card under the clip.

      Insert the battery with the contacts pointing toward the bottom of phone, and the Samsung logo side up. Make sure to put the contact end in first before dropping in the rest of the battery.

      Place the battery cover over the back of the phone with the Samsung logo the right way up. Slide the cover down so it connects with the body of the phone.

      Turn the phone back over so the front is facing up. Prise open the small cover in the bottom left of the phone and insert the AC charger cable. Plug the other end into an outlet.

      Slide open the phone to reveal the number keys. Press and hold the red "Hang Up/Power" button to switch the phone on.

      If prompted, enter your SIM code and press "OK." This four-to-eight-digit code was supplied with your SIM card.

      Follow any instructions from the "Setup Wizard" when the phone powers up. This will help you customize your G600.

      Allow the phone to remain charging until the battery gauge is full.
