Instructions for a Drip System Connected to a Regular Garden Hose

In recent years, organizations such as the Texas A&M University Extension have encouraged the use of drip irrigation systems such as soaker hoses, drip tape and perforated pipes over traditional sprinkler systems. According to studies by Texas A&M University, up to 25 percent of the water used to irrigate may be lost through use of sprinkler systems. Many simple drip irrigation systems such as soaker hoses are designed to be connected to a regular garden hose and are not difficult to install.
