Motels Near Buccoo Reef, Tobago

      The largest coral reef on the island of Tobago, Buccoo Reef is a popular tourist attraction that features five distinct portions of reef that are separated by channels of water. Scuba divers, snorkelers and glass-bottom boats all flock to Buccoo Reef to observe its assortment of coral and marine life. Fortunately, many nearby hotels are available to provide lodging for these visitors.

    Coco Reef Resort

    • Visitors to the Coco Reef Resort are immediately welcomed by sky-scraping palm trees and island-themed accoutrements in the hotel's visitor center. The resort features 135 guest rooms, of which 114 provide views of the ocean. Each room offers an alarm clock, an international phone, satellite television, air-conditioning and a mini bar. Twice-daily maid service helps keep rooms neat, and towels are provided for those who want to enjoy the adjacent beach. Four bars and restaurants are on premises, including Tamaras, which offers internationally flavored meals, and The Gallery, a beachfront bar. Coco Reef Resort also offers transportation to the local airport, a spa, a shopping gallery, bicycle rental and currency exchange services.

    Turtle Beach Resort

    • Offering 125 rooms to its guests, the Turtle Beach Resort provides full ocean views from every room on its grounds. Each room features a coffeemaker, hair dryer, air-conditioning and television. Room service is available, and there is one restaurant and two bars on premises. The Kiskadee serves Creole and international cuisine in a casual environment; the hotel's beach bar, The Surf Bar, is open until 11:30 p.m. each night. You can go swimming or snorkeling in the ocean or, if you choose, relax at the Turtle Beach Resort's lagoon pool, which comes complete with a swim-up bar.

    Bacolet Beach Club

    • Designed to provide an intimate stay in a boutique atmosphere, the Bacolet Beach Club is situated on a secluded beach. The hotel features its own spa and fitness center, and every guest receives free parking and a free continental breakfast each morning. Each room is decorated with a Caribbean flavor, with marble floors and chaise lounges on a private veranda overlooking the bay. Serving both local and international meals, the Bacolet Beach Club's restaurant also features signature cocktails and a view of the ocean. Visitors can swim in the hotel's Infinity pool and snorkel on the beach or enjoy a round of golf on one of the two courses that lie within 10 minutes of the hotel.
