My RealPlayer Doesn't Work After an Installation of VLC
VLC, or VideoLAN client, is a free and open-source media player application for Windows, Mac OS X and Linux. VideoLAN includes its own codecs and doesn't use the codecs already installed on the computer to play media files. When VLC installs, it associates itself with audio and video media file formats, including RealPlayer format content. If you try to double-click a RealPlayer media file that's a new version of the RealPlayer format, VLC will try to load it and fail. Re-associate RealPlayer with RealMedia files so they'll play properly.
