My TomTom Won't Update MapShare
TomTom GPS devices are eligible for a program called Map Share, a service that allows users to amend current maps and share their corrections with others. Each time a TomTom is connected to a user's computer and TomTom Home opens, updates are uploaded for sharing. However, Map Share updates can only be shared if a user has a map that is no more than one year old--trying to update an old map will result in an error message. If your TomTom device will no longer work with Map Share, you must get a new map.
