Navy Reserve Pay Rates

The Navy Reserve offers compensation to all active members. The rate of pay depends upon factors such as rank, time in service and time served. The pay scale is the same one used for active duty military.
  • General Pay

    • All officers and enlisted personnel of the Navy Reserve receive four days of base pay for every two days of weekend drilling practice. Members of the Navy Reserve also receive full pay including meals during their mandatory two weeks of training per year.

    Officer Pay

    • The pay for a Navy Reserve officer varies according to rank and time in service. A Navy Reserve officer's pay ranges between $2,700 and $6,700 per month with under four years of service.

    Enlisted Pay

    • The pay for Navy Reserve enlisted personnel also varies according to rank and time in service. The enlisted reservist can receive a monthly pay ranging from $1,400 to over $2,400 with under four years of service.
