Finding that one perfect gift for your boyfriend is not as easy as some may think. Sure, it's easy to just run out last minute and purchase something from the gas station convenience store. After all, you always see him munching on his favorite snack of beef jerky. It's an idea, but this year buy something that you put some thought into. He'll appreciate it more and maybe the next time he presents you with a present, it will be more than a $10 gift certificate to Rusty's BBQ and Ale.
The Sound of Music

This does not refer to the musical --- that is, unless your boyfriend is into Julie Andrews musicals. If not, consider gifting him with a collection of his favorite CDs. This shows that you actually pay attention to what he likes. You know that he's into 80's new wave punk bands or that you've heard him listening --- and enjoying--- those Barry Manilow songs when he thinks no one is around. If you want a music gift that's a little more personal, download a few of his favorite artists and compile them onto one CD. This is a gift that shows some creativity, thought and appreciation.
Clothes & Accessories

This gift can be a little tricky because you have to know what to purchase and in what size. Since he's your boyfriend, that should not be too difficult. If he works in an office and always wanted to purchase an Armani suit for his business meetings, surprise him with it as a gift. If you're not so abundant with the funds, that's OK. The best thing about buying clothes is that they range in price from very cheap to not-making-a--mortgage-payment-anytime-soon expensive. If he already has a nice suit and you're low on cash, get him some nice cuff links or a tie clip to go along with it. Maybe he needs a new pair of shoes. No matter how much you spend, he will appreciate the gift.
Tickets
-
This does not mean purchasing tickets to the dinner show you love and he hates and dragging him along as your "gift" to him. This means purchasing tickets to one of his favorite events. Even if you despise NASCAR or can't stand it when he sits around every Saturday evening watching wrestling on television, remember the gift is not for you. At best, you can buy him two tickets for him and his buddy. At worst, he'll want to drag you along and make you sit through two hours of live muscle car auctions. If so, go and have fun. After all, that's what love's about.
