Princess birthday parties are popular and fun. Choosing the right gift can be easy! Jupiterimages/Photos.com/Getty Images
What better gift to bring to a princess birthday party than a princess birthday gift? Searching online shops for gifts is an option, of course. But why not get creative? With a little creativity and a few personal touches, the perfect gift at the princess birthday party will make the gift recipient feel like the belle of the ball!
A Dainty Little Cuppa
-
A proper princess must have a proper cup of tea, of course. Rather than purchasing the mass-marketed tea sets from a big box store (which can be rather darling), visit your local second-hand shop. A gently used tea set made from different patterned cups can be a lovely personal twist. While there, pick up a basket and some ribbon to tie it all together. Bunch up some tissue paper to surround the set and you have an affordable gift for the princess to enjoy.
Basket Full of Crafts
-
Fill a pretty basket with age-appropriate craft projects. Include a star, a stick, ribbons and glitter to make a wand. Throw in sparkly stickers and plain note paper for princess stationary. A potato (yes, a potato) and ink pads to create princess-themed stamps such as a tiara or a star. Tuck in pink yarn with finger-knitting instructions. Alternatively, purchase some of the ready-made Disney or Strawberry Shortcake craft kits. In any form, do-it-yourself arts and crafts gifts are always appreciated.
Goodies for the Girls
-
Another homemade idea is baking a batch of sugar cookies shaped like princess crowns. Decorate with pink icing, colored sugars and candies. Display the treasures on a plate covered with colored plastic wrap, and the whole party will enjoy the gift.
Princess Dough
-
Make a batch or two of homemade non-toxic play dough. Mix in pale or pastel colors and divide into small plastic bags. Toss some glitter into each bag. Squish the baggies until the glitter is well-incorporated (this avoids the glitter mess that so often happens!). Place the baggies of "princess dough" in a nice basket or flowered bag for a gift she's sure to love!
