Remote Program Instructions on a 1997 Blazer

The 1997 Chevrolet Blazer offers keyless entry capabilities that allow you to sync to a number of features wirelessly. You can control your panic alarm in dark or crowded parking lots, trigger the trunk release if your hands are full or open your locks with just a click of a button.

  Connect the jumper wires to terminals four and eight in the data port module.

  Wait for the vehicle to respond by clicking its locks. Press and hold the "Lock" and "Unlock" buttons on your remote for up to 15 seconds until the locks automatically cycle again.

  Release the buttons and repeat the previous step with any additional remotes within a minute.

  Remove the jumper wires to end the programming procedure.
