Sarcastic Sister Gifts

    • Sometimes picking a traditional gift can be a little tiresome and boring. It's always fun to choose something with a little sarcasm or irony. When it comes to choosing a present for your sister, ideally you want to choose a gift that resonates with an inside joke. These can either be items bought in a shop or, for that extra-special personal touch, a custom-made present.

    Personalized clothing

    • Make her a custom-made t-shirt with her self-confessed "worst picture" on it. For extra effect, add a caption, such as "Too Cool for School" if it's a school picture. Other clothing ideas could include custom made socks with light-hearted phrases like, "Help! Wash me!" or "I belong to Ella!"

    "Favorite" band/team

    • Buy her tickets to see a band or sporting event which you know she passionately dislikes. For extra effect, also buy her a copy of the band's album or a large foam finger. A less expensive alternative would be to buy her a hat or mug with the band's name or sports team's logo along with a caption that says "#1 FAN."

    False expectations

    • Raising false expectations is often a good source for sarcastic presents. For example, wrapping a candy necklace inside a box from an expensive jewelry store or giving her a bag from her favorite fashion boutique only to discover it's a pair of socks (perhaps in her least favorite color).

    "Useful" presents

    • Give her an electric nose-hair trimmer, a vintage exercise video or a large supply of deodorant as a present she "might find useful."
