The Suzuki Marine DF140 is a 140-horsepower marine outboard engine. Suzuki Marine first entered the outboard engine market in 1965 with the 5.5-horsepower D55.
  • Engine Type

    • The DF140 is a 2,044 cc, four-stroke, four-cylinder engine. The bore cylinder diameter is 86 mm and the piston shaft length is 88 mm. The DF140 operates between 5,600 and 6,200 revolutions per minute. The fuel control system is a dual overhead camshaft, which contains 16 valves.

    Features

    • The Suzuki DF140 has a solid-state, electronic ignition system. The alternator produces 12 volts and 40 amps. This engine features a cool air-intake system, as well as a water-cooled fuel rail. A sequential multi-point fuel injection system delivers the fuel to the engine and the timing belt is oil-bathed. The Suzuki DF140 also features a three-star ultra-low emissions rating.
