Specifications for the Mountain Buggy Urban

    • Manufactured in New Zealand, the Mountain Buggy Urban is a sporty, three-wheeled stroller. It is suitable for use from birth, right up until the child is 5 years old. It is designed mainly for use in towns. However, it can be taken off-road and can cope with surfaces such as cobblestones, sand and trails with relative ease.

    Features

    • The Mountain Buggy Urban has an aluminum frame, making it easy to lift in and out of the trunk of a car. It also has a fully-rotating lockable front wheel, which makes it easy to maneuver in busy urban areas. The back wheels are air-filled, which gives a smoother ride for the child. This is why this buggy is also practical over rougher terrain. On newer models, rear-wheel suspension comes as standard.

The Mountain Buggy Urban also comes with a generous sun visor, complete with integrated peephole. This is especially useful when either the rain cover or sun cover is attached. The seat is padded and easy to wipe down. It also reclines to 15 degrees horizontal (almost flat) making it useful for very young babies.

    Safety

    • The Mountain Buggy Urban has a very effective foot brake, which is straightforward to use. There is also a wrist leash made from webbed mesh, which may be utilized when negotiating steep downhill slopes. There is also a five-point seating harness, made of the same comfortable mesh as the wrist leash.

    Dimensions

    • When the buggy is folded out in the upright position, it is 47.5 inches in length and 27 inches wide. It also has a fully-adjustable handle, which has a maximum height of 43 inches. When the Urban is folded with wheels on, it is 41 inches by 13 inches by 27 inches.

When it is collapsed with wheels removed, the Urban is 41 inches by 8 inches by 27 inches.

The tires are 12 inches in size and the back wheels are quick releasing. The Urban buggy weighs 24 lbs in total. The seat can take a weight of up to 77 lbs and the basket underneath can take up to 11 lbs.

Parts that take more strain, such as the axles and swivel wheel mechanism are coated with steel to increase longevity.

    Optional Extras

    • It is possible to buy storm and sun covers, as well as fleece seating liners and sleeping bags. For newborns, you can purchase travel systems and travel cots. Tire pumps are also available to buy.
