Summer Child Care Programs in Glendale, Arizona

  • KinderCare

    • KinderCare services infants and children 6 weeks to 12 years old. The center is a learning institution with qualified educators who nurture and care for children in a positive environment. The program is structured around self-esteem, motor skills and cognitive development. For older kids, leadership building is at the forefront of its focus. In addition to general summer hour facilities, KinderCare offers a day camp with hands-on activities each week. This summer program specifically focuses on specialized educational themes such as Science Adventures, Art Expo and Kid's Kitchen.

    Glendale/Peoria Family YMCA

    • Glendale YMCA offers summer child care programs for kids 5 to 17. The summer day sessions are open for enrollment for ages 5 to 12. Each week, a new theme is highlighted. Summer Freeze, Xtreme Sports, Safari, Get Creative, Global Passport and Ahoy Matey are just a few of the activities the Y organized. Themes primarily center around games, physical recreation, day field trips, fine arts and performing. All sessions are instructed by YMCA-trained staff. Special interest camps for kids 13 to 17 feature adventure travel, overnight camping, cooking, theater, water sports, science, and rock climbing. These teen sessions generally run for 2 to 3 weeks at a time. Both youth and teen programs start in early June.

    Deer Valley Unified School District

    • Children between the grades of kindergarten and 9th grade can experience educational and athletic activities at Glendale's Sun'Sational Summer Camp. Sun'sational is a day camp offered through Glendale's Deer Valley Unified School District. The program features weekly field trips, guest speakers and arts recreation. Every week Sun'Sational has a theme such as Team USA, eXtreme Sports, or CSI---Cool Science Investigations, that educate, inspire and foster self-esteem. The program generally runs from June 1 to the end of August, as of 2010.
