The Super Bee is a car produced by Dodge. Dodge has released six models of the Super Bee starting with the classic 1968 Dodge Super Bee, followed by the 1969 Dodge Super Bee, the 1970 Dodge Super Bee and the 1971 Dodge Super Bee. Dodge later came out with more-modern models of the Dodge Charger Super Bee in 2007, 2008 and 2009. Considered a "budget muscle car," the sporty vehicle includes decorative features such as a grille, bright moldings and a plethora of color options, according to the '71 Super Bee Car Club.

    Classic 1968 and 1969 Colors

    • With a base price of just over $3,000, the 1968 and 1969 models of the Dodge Super Bee were designed to compete with the Plymouth Road Runner. Partly known for their wide range of colors, the classic first models of the Dodge Super Bee featured everything from dark green metallic to baby blues and reds. However, it wasn't until later that the famous bold and bright colors came into play.

    1970 and 1971 Colors

    • Changes to the model and color were made in 1970. According to Muscle Car Facts, "The 1970 Super Bee featured a radical new nose design, an enticing new lower base price and automatic membership in Dodge's Scat Pack of performance streetcars that included the Challenger and Charger." In addition to the changes came a wide variety of "high impact paint colors." These colors included plum crazy, panther pink and banana yellow. While, panther pink was the least ordered, plum crazy was the most ordered.

    2007 to 2009 Colors

    • In 2007, Dodge released a more-modern series of the classic car. Because the car was limited edition, it came in the limited colors of detonator yellow and "TorRed." The 2008 model was made in a bright pearl blue and the 2009 model was produced in a bright pearl orange.
