    • The Suzuki Escudo is a small sport utility vehicle (SUV) known as the Sidekick in North America. The Pikes Peak version of the Escudo was produced in 1996 and is a performance rally car that shares little with the commercially available Escudo beyond a name and a general body shape. The Pikes Peak Escudo is named for the event it was designed for, the Pikes Peak International Hillclimb.

    Engine

    • The Pikes Peak Escudo is powered by a 1998 cc, 2-liter DOHC V-6 engine. The engine features a twin-turbo forced-air induction setup that produces 987 horsepower. The engine has three valves per cylinder.

    Dimensions

    • The Pikes Peak Escudo is a two-door vehicle. It is 199 inches long, 75 inches wide, and 59 inches tall. The base weight of the car is 1,764 lbs. The majority of the body is made from carbon fiber to reduce the weight of the vehicle and improve to overall power-to-weight ratio.

    Other Features

    • The Pikes Pear Escudo is a four-wheel drive vehicle. It is a front-engine vehicle that uses a six-speed manual transmission. The vehicle does not actually have an official name--the name "Pikes Peak Escudo" was coined by the video game Gran Turismo 2, which the car was featured in.
