    • The A25-S207 comes with Windows XP Home preinstalled. The computer also comes with Microsoft Works, a stripped-down version of Microsoft Office designed for consumers who don't need all the power that Office offers. The A25-S207 is equipped with Intuit Quicken Basic 2001, a program for managing financial accounts. The computer comes with a software DVD decoder and Norton Antivirus 2002 as well as Acrobat Reader and several Toshiba-made utilities.

    Internal Specifications.

    • The A25-S207 comes equipped with an Intel Pentium 4 2.66Ghz (Gigahertz) processor. The processor features a 512KB (Kilobyte) level 2 cache (which helps the computer run faster), and it runs at a front side bus speed (i.e. the speed at which the processor talks to the rest of the computer) of 533Mhz (Megahertz). The computer comes with 512MB (Megabytes) of RAM (Random Access Memory) built in. The computer also features a 40GB hard drive. It offers a 15-inch screen with a maximum resolution of 2048x1536. The A25-S207 is also equipped with a 56K (Kilobit) modem built into the computer, though this is limited to 53K speed due to FCC restrictions. A DVD ROM/CD RW drive offers 8x speed for reading DVDs, 24x speed for reading CDs and 24x -10x speed for writing CDs. A Trident Cyberblade XP2 graphics processor provided the computer's graphics, though it shares 32MB of RAM with the main memory rather than having its own built-in graphics RAM.

    Ports and Expansion

    • The computer's RAM can be expanded with an additional 512MB of RAM. The computer also has a PC Card slot Type II available for adding expansion cards. The A25-S207 has a monitor port included for connecting to external monitors. The computer is equipped with three USB 2.0 ports and an S-Video port. The computer also has an RJ 11 modem port as well as an Ethernet port for connecting to corporate networks. The computer can read SD (Secure Digital) cards in its built in SD slot, and microphone and headphone ports are included.
