VESA Mounting Guide

The VESA connections on your TV and wall mount allow you to hang your TV on the wall. Hanging a VESA TV wall mount requires you to attach part of the mount to the wall, attach the rest of the mount to the TV, then unite the two pieces. The mount connects to the TV through VESA connections, which are the little holes in the back of the TV. The VESA mount also has VESA holes that you line up with the TV and screw together with VESA screws. The whole process takes less than an hour to complete.

  Draw an outline of two vertical wall studs so you will know where they are. You can find them with the stud finder. The VESA mount must be mounted to a stud to support the weight of the TV and the mount.

  Hold the flat side of the mounting plate against the wall. The mounting plate is a large metal plate with mounting holes in each corner and connections on one side. Fit a lag bolt through each hole and tighten them into the wall mounts using a wrench. The lag bolts come with your wall mount.

  Place the mounting bracket against the back of the TV to line up the VESA holes. Position a VESA screw through each VESA hole of the bracket and tighten the screws into the TV using a Phillips-head screwdriver.

  Lift the TV with the screen against your chest and position it so the connections on the brackets insert into the connections on the wall plate.

  Insert the security screws to lock the connections in place. Tighten the security screws with a Phillips-head screwdriver.
