What Applications Use Visual C?

• Visual C, also known as C++ and Visual Basic, is a proprietary computer language owned by Microsoft. This language is versatile and can create a number of different frameworks, interfaces and environments for computing. Because of this, several applications designed by major corporations employ Visual C language.

Photoshop

• One of Adobe Systems' major programs, Adobe Photoshop allows users to crop, filter and edit their photographs and print them out in vivid color or apply them to three-dimensional frameworks and transform them into 3-D images. In addition to Phtoshop, Adobe also uses Visual C for Illustrator, Acrobat, InDesign, GoLive and Frame.

Quicken

• Quicken is a financial management software owned by Intuit. This software allows for financial tracking for homes, businesses and even accountants. All Quicken products employ Visual C programming language in their matrix.

SAP

• Systems Applications and Products in data processing, or SAP, is not only a company but a proprietary inventory management software used by several large corporations to track data such as sales, inventory and payments across a national and sometimes global supply chain. It also uses Visual C.

Mozilla

• Mozilla products such as the web browser Firefox and the email client Thunderbird benefit from the C programming language, which makes them compatible with Windows operating systems while still being open source.

Autodesk

• Autodesk, which makes not only computer-assisted drawing mapping systems, but a number of other three-dimensional studios and grid-based virtual production studios, uses Visual C in almost all of its products.

Flight Gear

• Flight Gear is an open-source flight simulator that features the experience of flying several different types of planes. The simulator uses a JSBSim simulation mechanism that was designed using Visual C language.

Apple

• Some Apple products, including the OSX operating system, are written using the C language, despite their dissimilarity in many respects to Microsoft operating system programming. Other programming software id also used in the creation of Apple'd many operating system peripherals. The iPod classic user interface also uses a Pixo framework that is written in C++.

Winamp

• Winamp is a free-to-download music program. This program, as well as other programs by the manufacturer Nullsoft, was written using Visual C.

Chrome

• Google Chrome is Google's Internet browser technology. This browser uses Visual C to allow for multiple tabs, easy access to browsing history and a home screen that displays a grid of the most recently viewed pages.

Microsoft

• Nearly everything Microsoft produces has a foundation in Visual C, including the Windows operating system, Internet Explorer, Microsoft Office and the Visual Studio, which allows programmers to use Visual C language more easily.
