What Ink Cartridges Fit a Canon MP560?

    • Knowing which ink cartridge fits your printer is vital. The Canon MP560 is a multi-function inkjet printer that also serves as a scanner, and it too has detailed ink requirements. The printer has USB and Wi-Fi connectivity, and is well suited for general home use. When the ink runs out, you will need to buy one of the compatible cartridges from any outlet.

    Black

    • The Canon MP560 takes a few different black ink cartridges. The PGI-220 Black (BK) is one option. It comes with a chip that enables you to monitor your ink levels. The MP560 is also compatible with the CLI-521 and the PGI-520 cartridges. The MP560 is also compatible with Inktec's CLI-221 refill kit, which gives you all the tools necessary to refill your old empty black ink cartridge.

    Cyan

    • The MP560 is compatible with Canon's CLI-521 Cyan (C) ink cartridge, and it will also work with Canon's CLI-221 Cyan cartridge. Again, Inktec provides a third-party alternative, with a refill kit available for all three of the color cartridges on the MP560. You can use these kits to save money on buying brand new color cartridges. It will also reduce waste and help protect the environment.

    Magenta

    • The MP560 has a dedicated magenta cartridge, which can be replaced with either the CLI-521 Magenta (M) cartridge or the CLI-221 Magenta cartridge. These are both produced by Canon, and are good for 510 pages worth of magenta color. The magenta cartridge is also available with a chip to monitor the ink levels through your computer.

    Yellow

    • The final color cartridge that the MP560 takes is the yellow cartridge. Compatible cartridges include the CLI-521 Yellow (Y), and the CLI-221 Yellow cartridge. Both of these are manufactured by Canon to fit the printer, and come with a chip to help you remotely monitor the ink levels through your computer. All of these ink cartridges are also referred to by an "OEM number," and occupy the numbers between 2945 and 2949. These OEM numbers all end with B001, and may be how the cartridge is referred to in some outlets or websites that stock the cartridges.
