What Is a Harley Deuce?

A Harley Deuce refers to a Harley-Davidson FXSTD Softail Deuce, a softail motorcycle first introduced in 2000. The Deuce was a softail cruiser with new design features, according to Motorsports-Network.
  • New Features

    • Although the Deuce had features common to all 2000 Softails, its unique new design included a stretched fuel tank and front forks that were completely chromed. The integrated instrument panel also was chromed, and there was a 17-inch wide rear tire.

    Softail Features

    • As with earlier softails, the Deuce had shock absorbers hidden under a rigid-looking frame. The new chassis and suspension produced a more comfortable ride. The original Deuce also had a twin-cam 88B engine with counterbalancers that reduced engine vibration.

    New Colors

    • Harley introduced some new colors with the Deuce and other 2000 models, including Concord Purple, Sinister Blue Pearl and several two-tone treatments. Harley produced the Deuce for about seven years before discontinuing it. Used models still are available for sale
