Wii "Fishing Frenzy" Secrets

    • "Fishing Frenzy" for the Wii is a family fishing game that features famous fishing spots and lakes in the United States. "Fishing Frenzy" includes a realistic rod to attach to the Wii remote for reeling in fish during the game. The game offers Easy, Normal and Hard Cup tournaments that you can play based on your skill level. You can catch several different types of fish, including bass, catfish and trout.

    Reeling Tips

    • Although "Fishing Frenzy" comes with a rod-shaped attachment for the Wii remote, it's better to just use the remote, according to the Gaming With Children website. Just flick the remote like you're casting and use the nunchuck like you're reeling in your catch. Keep moving your remote to the right and left as you reel to keep the line properly tensioned.

    Earning Points

    • Completing the Easy Cup Tournament will earn you 100 points, while the Normal Cup Tournament is worth 150 points and the Hard Cup Tournament is worth 200 points. If you catch 25 spotted, striped or smallmouth bass, you become an expert on catching that type of fish and can earn 50 to 125 bonus points. You must catch 50 largemouth bass to become an expert on that type of fish.

    Bonuses

    • You can earn 150 bonus points and become a Fish Connoisseur by catching at least 15 different species of fish during a tournament. Complete 30 Quick Fishing Challenges to earn 50 bonus points and become a Quick Fishing Expert. Follow the prompts in "Fishing Frenzy" to move your remote control and nunchuck in a certain direction to help you find more fish. If you follow the prompts correctly, you can earn bonus points. You can also earn a quick power boost to help you reel in fish faster and make your lures more attractive to the fish.
