    • The Yamaha YZ 125 is a dirt bike designed for off-road competitive use, primarily in motocross. The bike is engineered for maneuverability by employing a lightweight, compact frame and and light engine. It features a forgiving amount of suspension travel and braking power as well as a six-speed manual transmission. The Yamaha YZ 125 is one of the longest-running Yamaha production dirt bike lines and is also among one of its best-selling motorcycles.

    Engine Specifications

    • The YZ 125 comes equipped with a 125 cc two-stroke engine with a respective bore and stroke of 54 mm x 54.5 mm. Depending on rotation, it has a compression ratio from 8.6:1 to 10.7:1. Fuel delivery is provided by a Mikuni fuel system that's initiated with capacitor discharge ignition (CDI). The engine is mated to a six-speed manual transmission and chain-based drivetrain.

    • The YZ 125's braking system is composed of a 250 mm disc brake at the front and a 245 mm disc brake at the rear. Its front suspension provides 11.8 inches of travel on a speed-sensitive inverted adjustable fork. The rear suspension is made up of a single adjustable rear shock that can be set to provide a total of 12.4 inches of travel.

    • The YZ 125 has an overall wet weight of 208 pounds. Its total length is reported at 84.1 inches with a wheelbase of 56.8 inches. The dirt bike's overall width measures in at 32.6 inches while its height extends to 51.8 inches. The YZ 125 provides a total ground clearance of 15.2 inches.
