General Motors' Chevrolet Corvette Z06, which was first introduced to the market in 1963, was designed for consumers with a need for speed. Though quickly discontinued, the Z06 was reintroduced in 2000 offering a 385-horsepower engine. In 2006 the Z06 contained the most powerful engine of any previously manufactured General Motors automobile, according to the National Corvette Museum. Today, the 2010 Chevrolet Corvette Z06 has a manufacturer's suggested retail price (MSRP) of $74,285 and offers 505-horsepower, according to Yahoo Autos.

The 2010 Chevrolet Corvette Z06 has a 7.0L, V8-engine with 505 horsepower. In addition, the sports car has a six-speed manual transmission with a floor-mounted shifter. The exterior of the Corvette Z06 has a rear spoiler, front and rear body color bumpers, rear mud guards and metallic paint. In addition, the Z06 has daytime running lights and front headlights with halogen light bulbs. The Corvette Z06 is 48.7 inches high, 175.6 inches long and 75.9 inches wide. It has a 105.7-inch wheelbase and an overall curb weight of 3,175 pounds.

Safety specifications for the Chevrolet Corvette Z06 include seated front-seat side airbags, passenger airbags with dual stage deployment and an OnStar system with crisis assist.
