Can You Use Vegetables Plus on Bean Plants?

Vegetables Plus is a chemical insecticide used to treat a range of plants. It is most commonly applied to lawns, flowers, trees, shrubs, fruits, nuts and vegetables -- including all types of beans, according to manufacturer Control Solutions, Inc.

• Pests such as the Mexican bean beetle, corn earworm, stinkbugs and leafhoppers are commonly found on bean plants, according to Control Solutions, Inc.

Directions

• Mix 1/2 fl oz. of Vegetables Plus into 1 gallon of water, and spray the plant as needed to ward off insects, up to eight applications per growing season. You can apply the mixture to the bean plant up to three days before harvest, according to Control Solutions.

Warning

• Avoid contact with the chemical and your skin, eyes and clothing. The chemical is also toxic to fish, and should not be poured directly in the water, or used near aquatic areas.
